My name is Dr. Heather Elizabeth Hamood, MD. I am a proud native of Michigan, born in Marquette and raised in the Detroit area.
I attended Purdue University’s main campus in Indiana, where I majored in health sciences and minored in political science. After that, I pursued my medical degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, with the majority of my clinical rotations taking place in New York City.
Mental health has been a passion of mine since medical school, and I also have a deep interest in wellness and Reiki healing. My areas of focus include PTSD, CPTSD, OCD, depression, revictimization, narcissistic abuse, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and somatic disorders. Additionally, I find the legal side of medicine fascinating.
Throughout my 41 years of life, I’ve come to appreciate that nobody is perfect, and it’s our imperfections that truly shape us. I’m here to support you on your journey, and I want to commend you for taking this important step toward becoming the best version of yourself.
Beyond my work in healthcare, I have a love for acting—a passion I’ve pursued since my 20s. I’ve been fortunate to appear in movies alongside A-list actors, as well as in television shows and commercials.

How the add‑on works:
If we decide during your medication‑management visit (99213 or 99214) that you’d benefit from an extra 15 minutes of counseling, we’ll simply tack on CPT 90833.
Example: A 30‑minute medication review (99214) is $150. If we add the 15‑minute counseling segment, the total visit cost becomes $190 ($150 + $40).
